Product Description
Are you ready to be fascinated with our Cappadocia tour? Then join this tour and just live every moment of it. Our tour starts with your flight’s arrival at Kayseri Airport. Our first station is Devrent Valley with its lunar landscape, unique fairy-chimneys created by the effects of strong Anatolian winds. The valley also has many animal shaped rocks. It looks like a sculpture zoo made by nature. Then we will drive to the Pasabagi (Monk’s Valley), house of some curious mushroom-shaped pinnacles. Pasabag valley contains some of the most striking fairy chimneys in Cappadocia with twin and even triple rock caps. Our the other destination is the old-town of Avanos, a centre of artisan pottery production since the Hittites. Avanos winds up the hills leading away from the town and is a beautiful maze of old stone houses, some restored, some converted and some sadly abandoned to their fate. In the afternoon we will visit the Goreme Open Air Museum, which is one of Turkey’s Unesco World Heritage Sites. It was first an important Byzantine monastic settlement that housed some 20 monks, then a pilgrimage site from the 17th century. It contains the finest of the rock-cut churches, with beautiful frescoes. Most of the churches in Goreme Open Air Museum belong to the 10th, 11th and 12th centuries. At the end of a tiring but also a dreamy tour, you will be taken to the airport to fly to Istanbul back, when you arrive you will be transferred to your hotels.
